AboutLafazanis
Lafazanis is a three-generation Greek family winery: Vasilis Lafazanis made his first wine in Piraeus in 1945 and received a licence the following year. A first family winery followed at Magoula in 1960, and production moved into the Nemea PDO zone at Ancient Kleones in 1993 under chemist-oenologist Spyros Lafazanis. Athina and Vasilis Lafazanis joined the business in 2016, bringing the third generation into its commercial, vineyard and cellar work.
The family’s own vineyards include an organically cultivated site, complemented by fruit from more than 300 partner growers across Nemea, Corinthia and Arcadia. Agiorgitiko leads a broad focus on Greek grapes. The winery uses solar power, collects rainwater, composts and treats wastewater.
