AboutChâteau de La Cour d'Argent
Château de La Cour d’Argent belongs to Vignobles Denis Barraud, established by the family in the closing years of the nineteenth century, enlarged by Pierre-Henri Descrambe and directed by Denis Barraud from 1971. Its Bordeaux Supérieur vineyards lie near Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens and Sainte-Terre, as well as Génissac. The nineteen-hectare vineyard combines clay-limestone and sandy-gravel soils, with vines averaging thirty-five years.
Grass cover and organic soil amendments are used in the vineyards, and the fruit is sorted before fermentation. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by ageing in used barrels.
