Knappogue Castle

Vanilla and dark chocolate lead a malty nose, with dried fruit and a gentle nutty note underneath. The palate is smooth and layered, bringing oak spice, toasted nuts and raisin together with restrained sweetness. Bourbon-cask maturation followed by an Oloroso sherry finish gives the whisky depth without masking its clean Irish single-malt character. The finish is warm and persistent, with sherry, cocoa and seasoned oak lingering. Serve neat or with a small splash of water.
