Kentucky Artisan Distillery is the home of Jefferson’s Bourbon, handling distilling, blending and bottling for the range. Trey Zoeller and his father, bourbon historian Chet Zoeller, established Jefferson’s Bourbon in 1997. Jefferson’s experiments have included barrels aged on ocean voyages and trials with toasted wood, wine barrels, staves and cubes.

Caramel, vanilla and toffee lead the nose, joined by toasted oak, citrus peel and a touch of leather. The palate is full-bodied and polished, with brown sugar, maple and dried fruit balanced by warm baking spice and firm oak. Blending a small selection of mature barrels gives the bourbon substantial mid-palate weight without losing composure. The finish is deep and persistent, returning to caramel, dried fruit and spice. Serve neat, over a large cube or in an Old Fashioned.
