Claude and Memmie Jacquesson founded their Champagne house in 1798, establishing a long history in Dizy and the surrounding region. Adolphe Jacquesson patented a wire closure for sparkling-wine corks in 1844, a documented technical milestone in the house’s history. The Chiquet family acquired Jacquesson in 1974 and developed the modern parcel- and harvest-focused programme over subsequent decades.

Artémis Domaines became owner at the end of 2022, while Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet supported continuity through the transition. The numbered Cuvée series reflects a base harvest and reserve wines, but exact blends and ageing remain specific to each release. Jacquesson’s present chapter joins a 1798 founding, the Chiquet family’s modern work and Artémis Domaines ownership since 2022.

Jacquesson NV Cuvée No. 740 Dégorgement Tardif Extra Brut Champagne

French Sparkling
$234.99
Candied lemon, green apple and ripe pear lead a deep, mature bouquet, with toasted brioche, browned butter and roasted almond adding savoury richness. The palate is powerful yet taut, its creamy mousse held in focus by bright citrus and chalky mineral tension. Dried fruit and warm spice develop through the middle. Long and energetic, it closes with lemon curd, pastry, nuts and a distinctly saline finish.
