IDDA

IDDA is the Etna project created by the Gaja and Graci families, joining Piedmontese experience with Alberto Graci’s close knowledge of Sicilian volcanic vineyards. Its name means ‘she’ in Sicilian, an affectionate reference to Mount Etna itself. The estate has its own winery on the volcano’s southern side.

Vineyards around Belpasso and Biancavilla sit roughly 600 to 800 metres above sea level, spread across slopes with varied exposures and volcanic soils. Carricante is the project’s particular focus, with Nerello Mascalese grown for the reds.
