AboutHenriot

The Henriot family settled in Champagne in 1640, trading in cloth and wine before investing in vineyards. Apolline Henriot founded the Champagne house in 1808, drawing on family vineyards in Verzy, Verzenay and Mailly-Champagne. In 1880 the marriage of Paul Henriot and Marie Marguet brought Chardonnay vineyards from Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Chouilly alongside the house’s Pinot Noir holdings across Montagne de Reims.

A systematic study of vineyard soils began in 1920. Joseph Henriot expanded the reserve-wine collection in the early 1970s. In 2020, cellar master Alice Tétienne began coordinating Alliance Terroirs, a vineyard project focused on adapting to climate change and improving environmental practices.

Lemon zest, green apple and white flowers lead into brioche, pastry and a touch of wet chalk. The palate is elegant and focused, with a fine, lacy mousse carrying apricot, lime peel and quince.
