Green Flash began in San Diego in 2002, founded by Mike and Lisa Hinkley and named for the brief green light sometimes seen at sunset over the Pacific. Its range includes West Coast IPA alongside specialty ales, experimental batches and seasonal releases. SweetWater Brewing Company acquired Green Flash in 2021.
