AboutGreat Western Brewing Company
The Saskatoon brewery opened in 1927 as Hub City Brewing, changed names and owners over the decades, and faced closure after the 1989 Carling O’Keefe–Molson amalgamation. Sixteen employees pooled their resources, formed Great Western and kept the plant brewing, beginning the company’s modern chapter in 1990.
Great Western works directly with Canadian farmers to source its barley.

Canadian Beer
Crisp and refreshing, this Western Canadian pilsner combines local barley with a cool-fermented lager profile. Light grain and gentle malt notes lead the palate, while measured bitterness keeps the finish clean and brisk. Its straightforward balance makes it a versatile partner for burgers, grilled sausages, roast chicken, fried fish, pizza, mild cheeses or salty snacks.
