AboutGramona

Gramona’s family roots in Penedès reach back to 1850, when Josep Batlle worked as a cellarman and farmer at La Plana in the Anoia River valley. His son Pau founded Celler Batlle in 1881, and the later marriage of Pilar Batlle and Bartomeu Gramona united two wine families under the Gramona name. Jaume, Roc and Leonard Gramona represent the fifth and sixth generations in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia.

Long ageing has shaped the house for decades, with the first III Lustros made in 1951 and released ten years later. Vineyard work includes horses, farm-made compost, permanent plant cover and herbal preparations.

Gramona 2017 Imperial Brut Corpinnat

Spanish Sparkling
$109.99
Green and red apple lead into toasted brioche, fresh dough and lemon, with hints of anise and honeyed nuts. The palate is broad and creamy yet lifted by vivid acidity, its very fine bubbles carrying baked pastry and citrus zest. A long, mineral finish closes on crisp apple and toasted biscuit.
