AboutGosset
Maison Gosset traces its wine business to 1584, when Pierre Gosset, a winemaker and alderman of Aÿ, established a merchant house for still wines. Sixteen generations of the Gosset line carried that work forward before the house joined the Renaud-Cointreau group at the end of 1993. Its antique bottle design was adopted by Jean Gosset in 1760.
The house sources grapes from roughly 140 hectares across Champagne. Odilon de Varine has led the winemaking since 2006, with an emphasis on preserving fruit character and the wines’ ability to age.
Gosset NV Grand Rosé Brut Champagne
Fresh citrus and Gariguette strawberry open the nose, followed by delicate red-berry notes as the wine warms. The palate balances tension with rounded fruit, carrying strawberry and raspberry through a soft, enveloping finish with clear minerality. Built from a high proportion of Chardonnay with Pinot Noir vinified in white and red, it spends at least four years in Gosset’s cellars.
