AboutGiuseppe Quintarelli
The Quintarelli family’s winery dates to 1906 at Cerè above Negrar in Valpolicella. Giuseppe Quintarelli, known as Bepi, was selective about the fruit he used and the wines he released as Amarone. Since his death in 2012, his daughter Fiorenza, son-in-law Giampaolo and grandsons Francesco and Lorenzo have carried that family work forward.
Grapes for many of the wines are dried before fermentation, a process known as appassimento. Long fermentations and extended ageing in large Slavonian oak casks are central to the cellar’s approach. The bottles carry hand-lettered labels.

Italian Red
Dried cherry, fig and dark plum are layered with tobacco, leather and cedar. The palate is full-bodied and deeply concentrated, while fresh acidity and firm, resolved tannins keep the richness composed. Balsamic spice, liquorice and a mineral note add savoury complexity through the long finish. Decant carefully for sediment and serve with braised beef, game, mushrooms or aged cheese.
