Giovanni Ederle began developing his wine project as a young grower on the hills above Verona, close to the city at San Mattia. He carried out an experimental harvest in 2008 while restoring terraces and vineyards that form the physical basis of the estate. The property works local Veronese varieties together with selected international grapes, keeping each wine’s source and composition explicit.

Terraced slopes and dry-stone walls shape the vineyard landscape, but exact farming and cellar methods are stated only where the producer documents them. The winery forms part of a broader family agricultural and hospitality setting, while Giovanni’s own project retains a distinct producer identity. Giovanni Ederle’s estate remains rooted on Verona’s Torricelle hills, with restored vineyards close to the city.

Giovanni Ederle 2019 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG

Italian Red
$154.99

Dried rose and sugared wild strawberry lead a subtle, mature bouquet, with cherry, sweet tobacco and gentle spice adding depth. The palate is restrained rather than opulent, shaped by bright, piquant acidity and firm, drying tannins. Measured warmth carries through without blurring the wine’s detail. Savoury, structured and composed, it closes with dried red fruit, rose petal, tobacco and a persistent herbal-spice note.
