AboutGancia

Carlo Gancia returned from studying sparkling-wine methods in Reims and founded Fratelli Gancia with his brother Edoardo in Chivasso in 1850. His work with Piedmontese Moscato led to the 1865 launch of Spumante Italiano. The brothers moved the business to Canelli in 1866, where deep subterranean cellars offered the cool, stable conditions needed for long ageing.

Gancia makes sparkling wines using both tank and traditional bottle-fermentation methods, alongside Vermouth di Torino and Americano.

Gancia Vermouth di Torino Rosso

Italian Fortified
$34.99

Deep red colour introduces a focused mix of citrus peel, bitter herbs and warm spice. The palate balances caramelized sweetness with firm botanical bitterness, while wormwood, cinchona and nutmeg add earthy and aromatic detail. A lively citrus thread keeps the texture from feeling heavy and carries into a persistent, gently bitter finish. Serve chilled over ice with orange peel, lengthen with soda, or use in a Negroni, Manhattan or other vermouth-led classic.
