AboutGalil Mountain Winery
Galil Mountain Winery began in 2000 near Kibbutz Yiron in Israel’s Upper Galilee. It draws fruit from six nearby vineyards planted between 420 and 800 metres above sea level. Its wines include fresh, youthful styles, single-vineyard bottlings and blends, using stainless steel or oak according to the wine.
Rooftop solar generation and wastewater treatment are among the winery’s environmental projects.
Galil Mountain 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep red with bright reflections, this Cabernet Sauvignon offers blackberry, fresh blueberry and forest-fruit preserve, with clove and fresh-herb notes. The palate is medium-bodied, with balanced acidity and a velvety finish. Fermentation and six months of maturation take place in stainless steel. The kosher wine comes from Upper Galilee and is bottled at fourteen percent alcohol.
