AboutGál Tibor Pincészet
Gál Tibor Pincészet was founded in Eger in 1993, shortly after the Gál family returned from Italy in late 1992. Before coming home, Tibor Gál had worked his way from cellar hand to chief winemaker at Ornellaia. Following his death in 2005, the family carried the winery forward, and Gál Tibor Jr now leads it with his wife, sister and brother-in-law.
The Fúzió centre, opened in 2014 around a centuries-old tuff cellar, brought the cellar, wine bar and tasting room together in central Eger. That year also marked a new focus on vineyard-selected Egri Bikavér, the region’s traditional red blend. The labyrinth on the labels echoes Eger’s underground cellar network.
