Frédéric Brouca 2023 Clair des Champs
Ripe raspberry, flowers, mineral notes and salt appear with a savoury, meaty character and light, grainy tannins. The blend combines Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Terret Blanc, and its pale colour sits between light red and deep rosé. Much of the schist-grown fruit comes from organically farmed vineyards in Faugères. This clairet-style expression marked the first release of the wine.
Frédéric Brouca Vermouth Occitanie
Cherry and fresh red fruit open the aroma, followed by summer flowers, thyme, rosemary and lavender. The palate is round and gently ample, with smooth tannins carrying warm spice, orange peel and lemon. Wormwood and wild Mediterranean herbs bring a measured bitter edge, while the citrus keeps the rich fruit lifted. The finish is long, floral and fresh. Serve lightly chilled over ice, lengthen with tonic and citrus, or enjoy on its own as a contemplative aperitif.
