AboutFlorian Beck-Hartweg
Winegrowing runs deep in the Beck family of Dambach-la-Ville in Alsace, whose genealogy traces seventeen generations to 1524. Estate bottling began in 1956, and Yvette Beck’s work from 1982 brought an early focus on grassed vineyards and healthy soils. Florian joined the domaine full-time in 2009.
Many parcels lie on the granite slopes around Grand Cru Frankstein, with grass cover helping to control erosion. Organic conversion began in 2008, and certification followed with the 2011 vintage. In the cellar, the emphasis is on native yeasts, minimal additions and unfiltered bottling.
Florian Beck-Hartweg 2019 Tout Naturellement Pétillant
Rose-pink and gently sparkling, with an expressive nose of ripe fruit. The palate is juicy, fresh and light, finishing dry with an easy, appetizing snap. Serve well chilled, around 9°C, as an aperitif.
