AboutField House Brewing Co.
In 2016, founders Josh and Gina Vanderheide transformed a former automotive garage into Field House’s first tasting room in East Abbotsford. A smaller brewpub followed in downtown Chilliwack in 2020, giving the brewers a place to experiment. Abbotsford remains the main production brewery, while a nearby farm houses the barrel room and wild-fermentation work.
The range moves from classic beer styles to experimental IPAs and fruit-forward barrel-aged sours, with frequent new releases. Its BRRL ROOM programme incorporates Fraser Valley grain, cultivated wild yeast and other ingredients grown on the farm. Brewers, chefs and farm staff plan crops together and find uses for the harvest in both food and beer.
Field House Brewing Co. House Hazy IPA 473 mL
Fruit-forward and zesty, this hazy IPA layers orange, pine and stone fruit over a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. The aroma is generous without becoming heavy, and the palate stays crisp enough to keep the fruit in focus. A citrus-led finish adds freshness and definition. Serve cool with fried chicken, fish tacos, grilled vegetables, young cheddar, citrus salads or lightly spiced noodles.
Field House Brewing Co. Nordic Dry-Hopped Sour
Juicy and precisely tart, this dry-hopped sour avoids both overt sweetness and an obvious fruit-led profile. Rye malt and Ebbegarden kveik yeast give the beer a distinctive Nordic frame, while the acidity remains lively and adaptable. Serve cool with smoked fish, grilled sausages, chèvre, roast pork, pickled vegetables, salty cheeses or classic crisp potato dishes.
Field House Brewing Co. Pink Guava Gose
Pink guava gives this gose a vivid tropical centre, balanced by a naturally saline edge and the fragrant lift of dried coriander. The palate moves between gentle sweetness and bright sourness, remaining light and refreshing rather than weighty. Its fruit and spice stay clean through the finish. Serve cold with ceviche, grilled prawns, fish tacos, fresh cheese or fruit salad.
Field House x Vox Rea Hibiscus Dark Cherry Sour 473 mL
Deep ruby in colour, with fresh raspberry, strawberry and rhubarb on the nose and a quiet vinous note underneath. Dark cherry and hibiscus give the palate vivid fruit, joined by raspberry, blueberry and further rhubarb. The sourness is pronounced but balanced by the fruit’s natural sweetness, leading to a juicy, tart finish. Serve cold with duck, grilled pork, blue cheese or dark chocolate.
Field House Slow Saturdays Cold Brew Stout
Cold-brew coffee gives the palate brown sugar, earthy and honeyed notes, layered over roasted malt and dark chocolate. An oatmeal-stout base keeps the texture soft and silky, while the smooth coffee integration adds depth without turning harsh. The finish remains rounded and composed. Serve lightly chilled with chocolate cake, tiramisu, smoked brisket, aged cheddar or coffee-rubbed pork.
Field House Brewing Mango Pineapple Habanero Sour
Real pineapple and mango give the beer a bright tropical core, sharpened by a lively salted-sour frame. Habanero arrives as a measured touch of heat through the finish, adding definition without overwhelming the fruit. The palate remains tart, refreshing and direct, with sweetness kept in balance. Serve well chilled with fish tacos, grilled prawns, spicy chicken, fresh chèvre or coconut rice.
Field House Brewing Azacca Nectaron Centennial West Coast IPA Tall Can
Clean and crisp, with ripe pineapple, fresh stone fruit and juicy lime layered across an aromatic West Coast profile. Azacca, Nectaron and Centennial bring together North American and New Zealand hop character, while a balanced bitterness gives the fruit a firm, refreshing finish. The palate stays bright rather than heavy. Serve well chilled with fish tacos, spicy chicken, grilled pork, sharp cheddar or citrus-dressed shellfish.
Field House Brewing Cryo Pop Mosaic Hazy Double IPA
Sweet fruit and tropical notes lead, amplified by a cryogenically concentrated hop blend. Mosaic adds another layer of tropical fruit with light herbal undertones, while citrus and a firm bitterness keep the hazy, juicy profile from becoming soft. This is a broad, aromatic double IPA with clear hop intensity. Serve well chilled in a smaller glass with spicy barbecue, burgers, blue cheese or aged cheddar.
Field House Brewing Kohatu Triumph Hazy IPA
Citrus and stone fruit arrive first from New Zealand Kohatu hops, while American Triumph hops deepen the fruit profile with peach and add a resinous pine edge. The combination gives this hazy IPA a broad, modern hop character: juicy through the middle, then more structured and savoury at the finish. Serve well chilled with fish tacos, spicy noodles, grilled chicken or a sharp, creamy cheddar.
Field House Super Tall Motueka Rakau Hazy Double IPA
Zesty lime and nectarine lead, with floral notes and a broad tropical aromatic lift following close behind. Motueka and Rakau hops provide the core fruit character, while Motueka Sub Zero Hop Kief adds extra definition and intensity. The result is a stacked, fruit-forward double IPA with New Zealand hops at the centre. Serve cool with spicy fried chicken, burgers, tacos or aged cheddar.
Field House Pinot Gris Sour Saison
Pear and apple aromas lead into a bright, vinous saison shaped by Pinot Gris grape skins. Stone fruit and tropical fruit carry through the palate, while mixed saison yeasts bring gentle farmhouse character and a lively sour edge. The profile remains fresh and expressive, with the fruit sitting naturally within the beer rather than feeling added. Serve cool with grilled prawns, roast chicken, fresh goat cheese, charcuterie or citrus-dressed salads.
Field House Brrl Room Dry-Hopped Bière de Coupage
Lightly acidic and easy-drinking, this bière de coupage blends wood-aged mixed-fermentation golden ale with fresh dry-hopped beer. Stone fruit and citrus emerge from the meeting of generous hopping and fruit-forward Brettanomyces, while the mature component gives the palate measured complexity. Serve cool with roast chicken, grilled fish, goat cheese, charcuterie, herb-led salads or lightly spiced dishes.
Field House Brrl Room Syrah Wild Farmhouse Ale 500 mL
A layered wild farmhouse ale gains vinous depth from extended foeder ageing on Syrah juice and freshly pressed Shiraz skins. Berries, peppery spice, gentle funk and oak unfold across a structured, complex palate, with pink peppercorn adding definition to the grape character. Serve cool with roast lamb, duck, charcuterie, earthy mushrooms, aged cheese or herb-roasted vegetables.
Field House Brrl Room Raspberry Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout
A robust imperial stout gains depth from a year in selected bourbon barrels, building a bold spirit-inflected base before extended conditioning on British Columbia raspberries. The fruit brings bright contrast to the dark beer and barrel character without erasing its scale. Serve cool with blue cheese, roast beef, dark chocolate, berry desserts or toasted nuts.
Field House Dry Goods West Coast Non-Alcoholic IPA 4-Pack
Bright and hop-forward, this non-alcoholic West Coast IPA opens with citrus peel, pine and resin. Grapefruit and orange move across a dry golden malt base, keeping the palate defined and the finish crisp and clean. Deep gold and clear in the glass, it suits spicy fish tacos, grilled vegetables, burgers, spicy noodles or sharp cheddar.
Field House Brewing Salted Lime Mexican Lager 4-Pack
Light, clean and crisp, this Mexican-style lager is lifted with lime juice and a measured touch of sea salt. The citrus brings a bright, fresh edge, while the saline note sharpens the palate and keeps the finish brisk. It is direct, refreshing and easy to place at the table. Serve well chilled with tacos, grilled prawns, ceviche, fried chicken or salty snacks.
Field House Brewing Salted Black Porter 4 x 500 mL
Dark and richly malted, this porter is brewed with traditional salted black licorice candies. Coffee, dark chocolate and caramel form the core, while licorice adds a distinctive savoury-sweet edge. The palate is rounded and balanced, with enough residual sweetness to soften the roast without obscuring it. Serve slightly cool with smoked brisket, grilled sausages, blue cheese, chocolate cake or caramel desserts.
Field House Brewing Clementine & Cranberry Beer Spritz 6-Pack
Light-bodied and slightly tart, this beer-based spritz is loaded with clementine and cranberry. Clementine brings bright citrus lift, while cranberry adds a firmer red-fruit edge that keeps the profile fresh and lively. The palate is flavourful yet easy-drinking, with a clean, refreshing finish suited to casual sipping. Serve well chilled with fresh salads, grilled prawns, soft cheeses, roast turkey or salty snacks.
Field House Brewing Azacca Citra Mosaic Sabro Strata Hazy IPA 4-Pack
Juicy and distinctly dank, this hazy IPA is built around five expressive hops: Azacca, Citra, Mosaic, Sabro and Strata. Double dry hopping pushes the aromatic intensity forward, while flaked oats and spelt malt give the palate a smooth, rounded foundation. Richly hop-led but not shapeless, the beer carries depth and freshness into the finish. Serve well chilled with fried chicken, spicy tacos, grilled pork or aged cheddar.
Field House Brewing Toasted Coconut Black Lager 4-Pack
Hints of chocolate and coffee run through a crisp, dark lager base, joined by a clear layer of toasted coconut. Brewed in the Schwarzbier tradition, the palate is light on its feet despite the deeper roasted flavours, keeping complexity and refreshment in balance. A gentle touch of hop bitterness carries the clean finish. Serve well chilled with smoked pork, burgers, roast mushrooms or chocolate desserts.
Field House Brewing Eclipse Ekuanot Sabro Hazy IPA 4-Pack
Tangerine leads the aromatics, followed by sweet tropical fruit and a distinct coconut note. Eclipse, Ekuanot and Sabro hops shape the profile, bringing layers of citrus and ripe fruit across a hazy, full-bodied palate. The texture is generous but focused, with the three-hop blend carrying cleanly into a flavourful finish. Serve well chilled with jerk chicken, fish tacos, spicy noodles or aged cheddar.
Field House Brewing Black Currant & Lemon Sour 4-Pack
Black currant gives this strong sour a deep, dark-fruited centre, while cold-pressed lemon peel brings brightness and a clean citrus lift. The fruit contributes a measured interplay of acidity, sweetness and earthy depth, keeping the profile vivid rather than one-dimensional. Bold yet focused, it carries its richness with refreshing tension and finishes on a fresh, tangy note. Serve well chilled with barbecue, rich cheeses or dark chocolate.
Field House Brewing Sparkling Mimosa Sour 4-Pack
Blood orange brings a vivid citrus core, lifted by tangerine-peel aromatics and a subtle white wine-like note. A light Nelson Sauvin dry hop adds a fresh gooseberry accent without taking the beer away from its bright, tart structure. Lively and cleanly composed, the palate balances juicy fruit with a crisp sour edge and an aromatic finish. Serve well chilled with brunch dishes, soft cheese, grilled prawns or citrus-dressed salads.
Field House Coconut Cream Pineapple Sour 4-Pack
Pineapple and toasted coconut bring a generous tropical character to a light sour base. Oats and a measured addition of lactose give the palate a creamy texture, while Sabro hops reinforce the coconut note without masking the tart fruit. The balance stays lively, with sweetness, acidity and texture working together rather than feeling heavy. Serve well chilled with spicy tacos, grilled prawns or coconut-based curry.
Field House Galaxy Simcoe Luminosa Cold IPA 4-Pack
Peach, passionfruit and broad tropical fruit rise from a dry-hop blend of Galaxy, Simcoe and Luminosa. The hop character is vivid, but a clean, lager-like base keeps the palate crisp and focused. Concentrated Simcoe adds definition through the middle, while the finish remains snappy and refreshing rather than heavy. Serve well chilled with grilled chicken, fish tacos, spicy noodles or sharp cheddar.
Field House Riwaka Cold IPA 4-Pack
Tropical fruit from New Zealand Riwaka hops leads the aroma, set against a crisp, clean malt profile. Fermentation at cooler temperatures keeps the palate precise and refreshing, while a measured bitterness brings definition without dominating the fruit. The finish is snappy, dry and composed, giving the beer both IPA energy and lager-like clarity. Serve well chilled with fish tacos, grilled prawns, fried chicken or sharp cheddar.
Field House Hazy Six Mix 6-Pack
Six hazy beers offer a varied look at the style, moving through juicy tropical fruit, bright citrus and soft, rounded finishes. Each selection brings its own hop character while staying within an aromatic, fruit-led profile, making the pack useful for sharing or exploring several expressions side by side. Serve well chilled with fried chicken, fish tacos, burgers or sharp cheddar, where the fresh hop character can provide an easy counterpoint.
Field House Lemon Gin Berliner Weisse 4-Pack
A light wheat base carries bright fresh and dried lemon zest, with a lively tartness keeping the palate lean and refreshing. Juniper, coriander, angelica root, cardamom and grains of paradise bring layered gin-like botanicals and a restrained bitter edge. The finish is crisp, citrus-driven and dry rather than sharply sour. Serve cold with grilled seafood, fresh chèvre, herb-led salads or lightly spiced dishes that echo its lemon and botanical lift.
Field House House White Witbier 473 mL
Light and refreshing, with mandarin, lemon zest and stone fruit layered over wheat, coriander, clove and white pepper. The palate is bright and gently spicy, with low bitterness and a tart, dry finish that keeps each sip crisp. Serve cold with moules-frites, grilled chorizo, roast chicken or citrus-dressed salads.
Field House Hazy IPA 4-Pack
Lots of oats form part of the grain bill for this hazy IPA, fermented with the brewery’s preferred IPA yeast. The exact description records Talus and Sabro hops and separately notes tropical-fruit, coconut and citrus character. It calls the beer hazy and juicy, while the recipe records both hop varieties alongside the oats used in the brewing process.
