AboutFernie Brewing
Fernie Brewing began in 2003, when the Pask family started brewing in a barn on their property in the Rocky Mountain town of Fernie. A purpose-built brewery followed in 2007, and the business remains family-owned.
It uses Western Canadian grain and sources other ingredients locally where practical. Spent grain goes to local ranchers, while a centrifuge reduces beer lost during production. Since 2013, proceeds from tasting-room flights have supported local charities.
Fernie Brewing High Point Tropical IPA
Canadian Beer
Bold tropical fruit leads across a full-bodied, hop-forward palate, with a slight sweetness giving the profile shape. Pahto and Simcoe hops, supported by HyperBoost, create a vivid balance between juicy fruit and a distinctly dank edge. Richly flavoured but composed, the beer carries its tropical character cleanly through the finish. Serve well chilled with jerk chicken, fish tacos, spicy noodles or sharp cheddar.
Fernie Sundown Raspberry Sour 4-Pack
Canadian Beer
Real berry juice is added during fermentation, giving this fruited sour a reddish colour in the glass. The exact profile describes it as heavy on juice, fruity in flavour and succulently sour, with medium body and a clean, crisp finish. Technical details list five per cent alcohol and ten bitterness units, with production recorded in British Columbia.
