AboutFederici
Antonio Federici began making wine in Lazio in 1960. The family started cultivating its own vineyards in 2001, and a fourth generation now works across the vineyard, cellar and wider business.
Based in Zagarolo, near Rome, Federici works with volcanic soils and sources grapes from both its own vineyards and long-standing local growers. Malvasia, Bellone, Cesanese and Montepulciano feature alongside Vermentino and international varieties.
Federici 2024 Le Coste Vermentino Lazio IGT
Italian White
Pale straw colour with golden highlights appears alongside white flowers, jasmine, exotic fruit and aromatic herbs. The palate is fresh, soft and savoury, with a touch of almond. Made entirely from Vermentino grown near Zagarolo on tuffaceous soils, the grapes are pressed gently and fermented at low temperature. The wine spends six months in stainless steel on fine lees, with weekly bâtonnage, and carries 13 percent alcohol.
