Elio Sandri works from Cascina Disa in Perno, in Monforte d’Alba. The Sandri family has held the estate since 1965. The forest-bordered vineyards are farmed organically with minimal intervention.

Fermentation begins spontaneously in cement, followed by extended ageing in old Slavonian oak. Racking, fining and filtration are generally avoided, with sulphur added only at bottling.
