AboutDoudet-Naudin
Albert Brenot founded the Savigny-lès-Beaune house in 1849. The Doudet family acquired the Burgundy house in 1933, followed by Christophe Rochet in 2014. Rochet works with technical director François Lay, overseeing roughly twelve hectares of estate vines alongside a wider range of wines sourced across Burgundy. Organic farming trials are underway on the estate’s own parcels.
Doudet-Naudin 2022 Bourgogne Chardonnay
Pale, brilliant gold in colour, this Chardonnay shows ripe fruit, quince, broom and rennet apple, with white peach, bergamot, exotic fruit and a light citrus presence. Clay and chalky marls underlie the regional Bourgogne vineyards. Grapes are harvested by hand, pressed pneumatically and vinified at controlled temperatures. The must settles in stainless-steel vats, and maturation continues in stainless steel for eight months.
