Double Diamond by Schrader

Steeped plum, boysenberry and mulberry lead a generous nose, with cassis, savoury bay leaf and a measured touch of roasted oak. The palate is broad and dense but polished, carrying dark fruit through bittersweet cocoa, fine tannins and a fresh line of acidity. Menthol and loamy earth add lift and depth before a long, composed finish. Decant before serving with grilled ribeye, braised short ribs or roasted portobello mushrooms.
