The Malet Roquefort family has been rooted in Saint-Émilion since 1705, with Château La Gaffelière at the heart of its winegrowing history. Today its estates span Saint-Émilion, Pomerol and other Bordeaux appellations, sharing vineyard and cellar expertise across different sites. Beyond the estate wines, the family’s winemaking team makes regional Bordeaux wines from both their own vineyards and those of partner growers.

French Red
Ripe red fruit and subtle spice accompany a supple palate, fine tannins and freshness. The blend is ninety percent Merlot and ten percent Cabernet Franc. Grapes are selected rigorously, with most sourced from family properties. The vines grow in sandy clay soils. The wine honours Countess Isabeau, the first Malet Roquefort owner of Château La Gaffelière in 1705.
