AboutDomaine Philippe Delesvaux

Philippe and Catherine Delesvaux began their domaine with three hectares at Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné in 1978. Chenin became the focus of their work in Anjou and Coteaux-du-Layon, with both dry and naturally concentrated sweet wines. They adopted organic and then biodynamic farming during the 1990s, gaining certification later.

In 2021, the couple sold the nine-hectare property to Nils and Ombretta Drost, who continue to farm it organically and biodynamically as Domaine Delesvaux.

Fresh white pear leads into apricot, persimmon, fig and dried tangerine, with honey, candied apple and a light butterscotch note adding depth. The palate is fully sweet and generously textured, yet lacy acidity and a fine mineral spine keep it precise. Almond and honeysuckle emerge across the long, composed finish.
