AboutDomaine du Pegau
Domaine du Pegau was established in 1987 by Laurence Féraud with her parents, Paul and Odette, building an independent estate around the family’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards. Its name recalls the pégau, a terracotta wine jug used in the region during the fourteenth century. Laurence continues to direct the domaine. In the cellar, red grapes are traditionally fermented with whole clusters and native yeasts in concrete vats.
Domaine du Pégau 2005 Cuvée Réservée Châteauneuf-du-Pape Magnum (Damaged Label and Capsule)
French Red
Black cherry, cedar and earthy savoury notes give this Châteauneuf-du-Pape its character. The palate brings together dark fruit, complexity and a long finish, with the generosity of Grenache supported by Syrah and Mourvèdre. A medium-bodied red to serve with a slow-cooked beef stew. Damaged label and capsule. Image is illustrative.
