AboutDomaine de Montille
Domaine de Montille traces its roots in Volnay to the 1730s and has carried the de Montille name since 1863. Hubert de Montille was seventeen when he took over in 1947, inheriting fewer than three hectares. Today, Etienne de Montille leads a 37-hectare estate with vineyards in both the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
Organic cultivation began in 1995, followed by biodynamic farming in 2005. The use of whole bunches in fermentation is adjusted to each parcel and vintage.

French Wine
Redcurrant and black cherry are lifted by peony, violet and a touch of black pepper, with damp forest floor adding a quiet savoury layer. The palate is medium-bodied and energetic, combining crunchy fruit with fine-grained tannins and a focused mineral line. Mouth-watering salinity carries the long finish. Decant while young and serve with duck, venison, game birds or mushrooms.
