Domaine de la Bégude sits high in the Bandol countryside, beneath the Sainte-Baume and within reach of the Mediterranean. The Roulleau family took over from the Tari family in 2022, with Laurent Fortin directing the estate. Its ageing cellar occupies a seventh-century chapel at Conil.
Mourvèdre is the estate’s focus, with a conservation vineyard containing more than 150 genetic selections of this one grape variety. The vineyards are farmed organically on soils that include limestone, blue marl and iron-rich sandstone.

French Red
Mourvedre and Grenache each account for thirty-five percent and Cinsault thirty percent. The dry red offers dark berry fruit, spice and a dense, juicy texture with a long finish. The grapes are grown organically without pesticides on the limestone-and-clay soils of Provence. Harvest is by hand, and the wine is raised in stainless steel to preserve its fruit.
