AboutDomaine de Joÿ

Domaine de Joÿ began when Paul and Marguerite Gessler left Switzerland for Gascony and settled at the place called Joÿ in the early 1900s. Olivier Gessler works alongside Vanessa and Kévin at the family’s wine and Armagnac estate. The vineyard covers roughly 190 hectares around Panjas, with about a tenth of that land devoted to grapes for distillation.

The vineyards lie on clay-silica soils and tawny sands, in a climate influenced by the Atlantic and the Pyrenees. For Armagnac, Ugni Blanc, Baco and Folle Blanche supply the still, with distillation carried out on the estate.

Domaine de Joÿ XO 10 Year Old Bas-Armagnac 700 mL

French Brandy
$144.99

Vanilla and white flowers rise first, followed by caramel and polished oak. The palate is soft and balanced, with rounded sweetness framed by gentle wood spice and a supple texture. New Gascon and Limousin oak bring both character and elegance. The finish is long and composed, leaving vanilla, caramel, flowers and a clean echo of oak.
