Darkness Whisky

Candied orange peel and dried cherry open the nose, followed by chocolate-coated peanuts and warm cooking spice. The palate is rich and concentrated, with amaretti biscuit, raisin and prune layered over lightly toasted malt. Initial ex-bourbon maturation and a finish in small Oloroso sherry octave casks give the whisky pronounced sherry depth without losing its Speyside fruit. The finish is slightly oily and gently smoky, with dark chocolate and earthy oak lingering. Serve neat or add water gradually.
