AboutCostadilà
Farmer and winemaker Ernesto Cattel founded Costadilà in 2005, working with the local Glera, Bianchetta Trevigiana and Verdiso grapes. Named after a hamlet in Tarzo, the winery is now based in San Lorenzo in the hills of Vittorio Veneto.
The vineyards are farmed without herbicides or synthetic chemical products, and fermentations begin spontaneously with native yeast. The sparkling wines referment in bottle on their lees without added sulphur, with clear glass showing the haze and sediment inside. Wine names take their numbers from the elevations of the vineyards.

Italian Sparkling
White flowers, light frothy bubbles, green apple, peach, ripe pear and raw almond bitterness define the profile. Glera undergoes skin maceration, spontaneous fermentation and ageing in stainless steel. Bottle refermentation uses grape must, and the wine remains undisgorged. It is unfined, unfiltered and made without added sulphur, leaving the natural yeast sediment in the bottle.
