Winemaker Celia Welch founded Corra in Napa Valley in 2004. She grew up around her father’s home vineyard and cellar in southern Oregon, studied enology at UC Davis and worked a harvest in Australia before building her consulting career in Napa. Corra focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon, with its original wine bringing together fruit from Oakville, Rutherford and Pritchard Hill.

Dark baked cherry opens with perfumed raspberry and blueberry, followed by a light touch of sweet tobacco and sage. The palate is bright, juicy and rich on entry, with generous berry fruit carried by a complex, silky texture. Freshness keeps the concentration poised, leading to a long, polished finish of dark fruit and savoury herbs.
