AboutCoolshanagh Wines
Coolshanagh is Skip and Judy Stothert’s family vineyard on the northern Naramata Bench, overlooking Okanagan Lake. They planted their first Chardonnay in 2004 and released the first wine under the Coolshanagh name in 2012.
Chardonnay remains the focus, with a smaller planting of Pinot Noir on fractured glacial rock rich in calcium carbonate. The wines are made with the team at Okanagan Crush Pad.

Asian pear, nutmeg, caramel, orange zest and roasted almond appear with popcorn, wet stone and ripe fruit. Whole clusters from four vineyard blocks were pressed separately, then fermented in stainless steel, concrete tulips and new French oak puncheons. After nine months on gross lees, the final blend was bottled without fining. The texture is rich and complex, and alcohol is 13.5 percent.
