Continuum Estate began in 2005, when Tim Mondavi and Marcia Mondavi Borger joined their families to build a mountain wine estate of their own. They settled on Pritchard Hill above Napa Valley, acquiring the core parcels in 2008 and 2009 and completing the estate winery in 2013.
Sage Mountain Vineyard spans 173 acres, with 71 planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Individual blocks are farmed according to their exposure, elevation and soils, using organic and biodynamic practices alongside permanent cover crops.
Continuum Estate Novicium 2019 Sage Mountain Vineyard Red
American Red
Black fruit leads a vibrant, direct profile, with dark chocolate, brown spice and savoury tapenade adding depth. The palate opens plush and weighted through the middle, yet refined tannins keep the texture controlled. Graphite and an iron-like mineral note give the fruit a firm, volcanic edge without making the wine severe. Powerful but approachable, it finishes bright and persistent, with spice and mineral structure carrying the length.
Continuum Estate 2017 Proprietary Red
American Red
Rose petal and wild herbs lift black cherry, brambleberry and red plum. The palate is plush and silky, layered with cacao, crushed-stone minerality and a savoury hint of tapenade. Fine tannins carry the fruit into a bright, persistent finish. Decant before serving and pair with roast lamb, grilled beef or aged cheddar.

American Red
Citrus blossom and rose petal aromas bring immediate vibrancy, followed by cassis, dark fruit, bergamot and dried wild herbs. The palate builds in power and richness, with cigar box and leather adding depth. Graphite and earthy minerality provide sinewy balance through the close. Decant and serve with roast beef or lamb.
