AboutChâteau Roc de Ségur

The modern story of Roc de Ségur began in 1992, when Daniel and Gisèle Vidal took on a single hectare at a former quarry in Entre-deux-Mers. Daniel came from a winegrowing family and had managed another estate; their son Florian later joined them. In 1994 they carved the cellar into the former quarry.

The name combines the rocky site with the Ségur river below. Merlot leads the plantings on clay-limestone soils, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The cellar uses temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
