Château Marquis d’Alesme
AboutChâteau Marquis d’Alesme
Château Marquis d’Alesme carries more than four centuries of Margaux history, with roots traced to 1585. The château was ranked a Third Growth in the 1855 Classification. Ownership passed to the Perrodo family in 2006; Nathalie Perrodo has since guided the renewal of the vineyard and cellars.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc grow on gravelly and clay-limestone parcels. The vineyard work draws on organic and biodynamic farming practices, with close observation of each plot. The cellar uses gravity handling and separate winemaking for each parcel.
Château Marquis d’Alesme 2018 Margaux
French Red
An opulent Margaux with black cherry, warm plum, cassis and red rose, layered with baking spice and fragrant earth. The full-bodied palate is rich but focused, with firm, velvety tannins supporting dark plum, blackcurrant and blackberry. Black tea, alder and mineral notes emerge through the long finish. Give it air and serve with roast beef, lamb or duck.
