Château Marmot
AboutChâteau Marmot
Château Marmot grew from the winemaking project Keenan Thrussell began in the Okanagan Valley in 2016, first under the name Keenan Wines. He sources fruit from organic and biodynamic growers around Summerland and Oliver. In the cellar, he uses spontaneous fermentation, without fining, filtration or added sulphites.
Chateau Marmot 2025 Chardonnay Pét-Nat
Canadian Sparkling
Organically farmed Chardonnay from Cawston was fermented in stainless steel and bottled during primary fermentation. The wine was disgorged after five months on its lees in bottle, without additions or filtration. Ripe lemon and tropical fruit meet a dry, textured palate. Ambient fermentation, unfined and unfiltered bottling, and zero additives are also part of the cellar approach.
Château Marmot Cider/Wine Pét-Nat
Canadian Cider
Early Gold apple and Sovereign Rosé grape share the frame, bringing orchard freshness and red-fruit depth. Blending and bottling during primary fermentation preserves an energetic natural sparkle, while extended time on the lees adds texture and savoury complexity. The finish is lively and gently rustic. Serve well chilled with soft cheese, smoked salmon, roast chicken or vegetable tart.
