Château L’Arrosée
Château L’Arrosée was established in the nineteenth century by Pierre Magne, a prominent statesman of France’s Second Empire and early Third Republic. It belonged to Saint-Émilion’s classified landscape for decades and appears as a Grand Cru Classé in the official 1986 classification. Roger and Jean-Pierre Caille stewarded the property from 2002 to 2013, investing across vines and cellars before its final change of ownership.
Its south-facing Saint-Émilion vineyard joined clay-limestone slopes to sandier ground below, with Merlot accompanied by both Cabernets. Domaine Clarence Dillon acquired L’Arrosée in 2013 and combined its vineyard with neighbouring Château Quintus, ending L’Arrosée as a current label while preserving its historical record. For collectors, L’Arrosée now represents a finite chapter of Saint-Émilion history: an identifiable estate whose surviving bottles predate their vineyard’s life within Quintus.

French Red
Dried black cherry, cassis and plum lead a mature, quietly complex bouquet. Truffle, cedar and earth add savoury depth, while tobacco and warm spice bring further dimension. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, with softened tannins carrying its remaining dark fruit. Balanced and composed, it closes with mineral detail, dried herbs and a persistent earthy finish.
