Château Labégorce
Château Labégorce
AboutChâteau Labégorce
Labégorce appears in records as early as 1332, making it one of Margaux’s long-established vineyard names. Hubert Perrodo acquired Château Labégorce in 1989, and the family later reunited it with the former Labégorce-Zédé holdings, restoring much of the historic estate in 2009. Nathalie Perrodo owns the estate, which is managed by Marjolaine Maurice de Coninck.
Seventy hectares of vines extend across gravel, sandy gravel and clay-limestone soils in the Margaux appellation. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate the plantings, with Cabernet Franc plus Petit Verdot completing the estate mix; after parcel selection, the wines mature for roughly twelve to fourteen months in French oak.

French Red
Dark ruby colour has violet nuances. Black berries and stone fruit appear with animal and toasted notes. The palate is massive, concentrated and generous, with ripe tannins and a long return of fruit. Medium body, plum and cherry appear together with cedar, herbs and leafy forest character. This red comes from Margaux in Bordeaux and uses Cabernet Sauvignon.
