AboutChâteau du Vallier
In 1737, Bertrand and Marguerite Dulon were tending a small parcel of vines alongside their work as innkeepers in Soulignac. Ten generations later, Michel and Françoise Dulon work with their daughters Carole and Sophie. Their Château du Vallier comes from the right-bank hills of Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux.
Clay-limestone soils underpin a Bordeaux blend led by Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec completing the estate’s red wine. The varieties are vinified separately, and the wine spends twelve months in barrel before bottling in the family’s own cellars. Vignobles Dulon gained Level 3 High Environmental Value certification with the 2019 vintage.

Ruby colour with violet reflections accompanies rich black fruit and young tannins. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec make up the red blend. The bouquet combines fruit and wood, while the palate is dense and tannic. The wine is matured in barrel and carries thirteen and a half percent alcohol. Production amounted to fifty-five thousand bottles.
