AboutChâteau de Rhodes

Eric Lépine has owned and directed Château de Rhodes since 2002, working with a small team on the first slopes above the Tarn at Gaillac. Around thirty hectares face south-southwest, with some vines more than sixty years old and a continuing emphasis on Gaillac’s local varieties. The range includes reds, dry and sweet whites, rosés and sparkling wines.

The first certified-organic wines came from the 2011 vintage. The soil is worked mechanically and fed with compost, without chemical weedkillers. In the cellar, sulphur is used sparingly, with fining only when needed and generally one filtration before bottling.
