AboutChâteau de Pibarnon

Catherine and Henri de Saint Victor bought Château de Pibarnon in Bandol in 1977 and made their first vintage in 1978. Their son Éric joined in 1989 and later took over the estate.

The vineyard forms a natural amphitheatre above the Mediterranean, climbing on terraces to roughly 300 metres. The south-east-facing slopes have cool nights and water-retentive soils of limestone and blue marl. Mourvèdre leads the red wines, and the estate has been certified organic since 2019.

Château de Pibarnon 2013 Bandol Rouge

French Red
$129.99

Structured and built for long ageing, the documented profile emphasizes volume, mass and amplitude. Those elements recede through the finish, leaving finesse, sweetness and fruit-shaped tannins. The estate also records fine tannin extraction, ripeness and minerality. Together, the notes describe a concentrated red whose scale settles into a detailed, composed and distinctly mineral, precisely defined close.
