AboutChâteau de Mattes-Sabran

Château de Mattes-Sabran has belonged to the same family since 1733, with women directing the estate for more than a century. Anne-Laure Brouillat leads the property today. At Portel-des-Corbières, the land appears in records from 1102 as a possession of the Abbey of Lagrasse, and a stretch of the Roman Via Domitia crosses the estate.

Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are central to the reds. Some wines are made in concrete tanks, while selected cuvées receive longer maturation.
