Château de Laubade
Château de Laubade
AboutChâteau de Laubade
Founded in 1870 at Sorbets, Château de Laubade grows grapes, distils, ages and blends its Bas-Armagnac on the estate. Three generations of the Lesgourgues family have shaped the house, now led by Denis Lesgourgues with his sister Jeanne and brother Arnaud.
The grape varieties are fermented and distilled separately, then aged by variety and vintage before blending. Local coopers make the casks from seasoned Gascony oak. In the vineyard, the estate’s sheep provide manure, while cover crops and mechanical weeding form part of the soil work.

French Brandy
Ripe plum, pastry and vanilla lead the nose, joined by citrus and a mild wildflower note. The palate is full and rounded, with dried fruit and honey layered over espresso, clove and black pepper. Despite its richness, the spirit keeps a delicate line and measured sweetness rather than becoming heavy. The finish is long, softly spiced and warming. Serve neat after dinner, or use a modest pour to bring depth to a classic brandy cocktail.
