AboutChâteau de Brague
Château de Brague is a four-generation family estate in Vérac, bought by the Pistre family in 1934. Women in the family sustained the property through difficult periods, and Gabriel and Gérôme Pistre now carry that work forward.
Around twenty hectares of vines grow on Bordeaux’s right bank, near Fronsac and Saint-Émilion. Red and white grapes share a clay-limestone plateau and south-facing slopes, including a parcel of white vines planted in 1951. The estate also makes Bordeaux Clairet, with a brief period of skin contact.
Château de Brague 2018 Bordeaux Supérieur
French Red
A rounded Bordeaux blend with generous red fruit, pepper and licorice on the nose. The palate is balanced and supple, with the Cabernets adding shape and freshness while stewed fruit and chocolate deepen the finish. Smooth enough for a broad range of meals, it is especially comfortable with roast beef, burgers, mushrooms or firm cheese.
Château de Brague 2024 Clair de Lune Bordeaux Clairet
French Red
Bright raspberry and red cherry lead a fresh Bordeaux Clairet with a softly floral lift. Brief skin contact keeps the colour vivid and the tannins very light, while Merlot brings supple fruit and Malbec adds a gentle savoury edge. Serve lightly chilled with seafood, grilled fish, charcuterie or aromatic dishes.
