Château de Bligny
Château de Bligny
AboutChâteau de Bligny
The present Château de Bligny was built in 1773 on medieval foundations in the Côte des Bar. The Rapeneau family bought the property in 1999 and spent the following decade restoring its buildings and cellars.
Thirty hectares of vines are divided into eight parcels on the steep clay-limestone slopes of the Barrois. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay form the heart of the planting. The grapes are pressed at the estate, where the wines are also made, aged and bottled.

French Sparkling
Light gold, with fine, persistent bubbles and aromas of stewed white fruit, crystallized lemon and spring flowers. A subtle saline note gives the nose lift. The palate is fresh, lively and structured, bringing almond, nougatine and brioche into a dense but precise frame. A taut mineral finish leaves a lingering caramelized-nut note. Serve with scallops or roast chicken.
