Since 1927, three generations of winegrowers have succeeded each other at the Château Aydie. Today, the Laplace family (Famille Laplace) runs the Château’s 58 hectares using sustainable practices. The ocean climate and nearby Pyrenées mean winter and spring are both temperate and wet, with a warm summer and a very sunny autumn. These climatic conditions together with the widely diverse terroirs allow them to develop wines with rich characteristics typical of the region.

Château d’Aydie 2012 Maydie Vintage Tannat

$47.99
Sweet plum and ripe dark fruit wrap around firm Tannat structure, while contrasting acidity keeps this fortified red lively and clear. Generous and fruity rather than heavy, the palate carries supple sweetness, fresh lift and a gentle savoury grip into a balanced finish. A natural partner for dark chocolate, blue cheese or slow after-dinner sipping.

Aydie 2022 Sans Sulfites Madiran

$47.99
Blackcurrant fruit sits over dusty tannins and firm acidity, giving this direct, clear-cut red more lift than weight. The palate is crisp and fresh, with a savoury edge and enough structure to remain unmistakably robust. Straightforward and energetic rather than heavy, it works well with grilled sausages, roast pork or lentils.

Aydie 2019 Madiran Ode d’Aydie

$41.99
Dark, concentrated fruit leads, framed by firm grip and a measured touch of oak. The palate is full and warmly structured, with the depth of a ripe vintage kept in check by clear, savoury tension. A persistent finish carries the fruit and tannic shape together. Serve with roast beef, duck or slow-cooked dishes.

Aydie 2016/21 Pacherenc Du Vic Bilh Swee

$54.99
A silvery yellow, this wine is perfectly brilliant and clear. Exotic fruits and honeyed notes on the nose, a combination of delicacy and strength. The lively attack on the palate is in complete balance with the rich, fat structure. The finish is a caress of citrus fruits and a long vanilla sweetness, typical of grapes dried on the vine. This sweet wine has enormous potential. To be drunk cold at 8° to 10°C and pairs perfectly with foie gras and cheeses. This product is 500mL.

Château d’Aydie 2022 Madiran L’Origine

$31.99
A bold, Tannat-driven Madiran with black plum, blackberry and cassis layered over graphite, spice and cocoa. Firm tannins and fresh acidity support a dense core of dark fruit through a long, savoury finish.

Aydie Chateau 2017 Madiran

$59.99
A dark-fruited Madiran with blackberry, plum and black cherry joined by coffee, cocoa and a measured woody note. Richness on the palate is held in check by firm but polished tannins, giving the wine both weight and definition. The finish is savoury and persistent, with enough structure for slow-cooked beef, duck confit or other deeply flavoured dishes.
