Château Barbebelle
AboutChâteau Barbebelle
North of Aix-en-Provence, Château Barbebelle stands on land cultivated since Roman times, surrounded by woodland and Mediterranean countryside. Madeleine Premmereur represents the fourth generation of the Herbeau family at the estate. She runs the business while Valentin Premmereur leads the vineyard work.
About fifty hectares of vines lie in a single holding within Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, farmed organically. The estate makes red and white wines as well as rosé.
Château Barbebelle 2025 Cuvée Madeleine Rosé
White peach and floral notes lead into raspberry, red currant and a touch of exotic fruit. Fresh and poised, the palate carries its fruit through a clean, lingering finish. Serve chilled as an aperitif or with ceviche, summer salads, richer fish, veal or prawn risotto.
Château Barbebelle 2022 Rouge Fleuri Sans Sulfites Ajoutés
Raspberry, forest fruit and blackberry accompany an intense purple colour and a round palate. The red wine is made entirely from Caladoc without added sulphites. Caladoc is a crossing of Grenache and Malbec. Production uses mechanical night harvesting, bioprotection and a long maceration. Cellar work includes manual punchdowns and pumpovers, and maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Alcohol is fourteen percent.
Château Barbebelle 2025 Héritage Rosé
A gastronomic Provence rosé blending Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Pear, pink flowers, citrus and forest berries meet a rounded palate and fresh finish.
