AboutChampagne Delamotte
François Delamotte founded the house in Reims in 1760. It moved to Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in 1939, placing it in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Chardonnay from the region’s Grand Cru villages is central to the house’s wines. The non-vintage Blanc de Blancs is fermented in stainless steel and spends four to five years on its lees before release.
Champagne Delamotte NV Brut
Fresh apple, pear and citrus are layered with brioche and warm bread on a finely yeasty nose. The palate brings freshness and roundness together, with lively bubbles, clean fruit and a subtle creamy breadth. Balanced and elegant through the persistent finish, it is equally suited to an aperitif, shellfish, gougères or roast poultry.
Delamotte 2018 Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Fine, persistent bubbles rise through a pale white-gold colour. Williams pear and citrus lead the nose, opening with air toward hawthorn, fresh hazelnut and gentle sweet spice. The palate begins clean and chalky, with a touch of lemon before expanding into vineyard peach and summer fruit. Roasted hazelnut adds crisp depth, while a smooth, generous texture carries the exceptionally long, poised finish.
